Bobbin and the sketchbook
It was a damp week, so I spent most of it working wet into wet from the window. I think the lesson is to slow down with the masking fluid, again. I spent the whole morning stretching paper and didn't regret a minute of it. Doing it by the river made a real difference.
October notes on layering glazes
So I mixed a better green and waited. I did the boring part first: mixing greens.
I took a photo, but it doesn't really show a loose, lively study. The notebook says 11 brush, which is about what I expected. I wrote it all down: 16 sketches, 29 colours, and a note to be more patient.
The brush looked fine, and then suddenly it didn't. Thanks, as ever, to Leif for putting up with me.
